Rules For Submissions
We welcome new submissions, so if you have a law that you think is good - whether you have made it up yourself, read it in a book, or heard it in conversation - please do send it in.
When you submit a law, it is sent to one of our editors who either approves it and makes it live, or turns it down and emails you to tell you why. Usually, this happens within minutes, but sometimes it will take longer. Reasons why a law may not be approved include:
————————————————————————————————————————
Too similar to an existing law
We don’t want the site to become cluttered with too-similar laws, so if yours is close to one already on the site, it may not make the cut.
Not quite a law
Sometimes an observation can be good but fall short of being a law. A law needs to be universal and have staying power.
Too crude
Certain human activities, though undoubtedly governed by laws, do not need exposition. If your law concerns sex or bowel movements, it will have to be executed with the lightest of touches to make it on to the site. Not impossible, but hard.
Offensive
We don’t want the site to be trammelled by political correctness, but neither is it the place to air prejudices or grievances. Enough said.

Don’t let the above put you off. We want you to submit laws! If you’d like to ask our editor a question first, contact him here.
